Indy

Independent Software Vendor

A term that attempts to make independent software businesses sound as culturally cool as indy musicians. (I think being a software Indy is a pretty damn cool thing to be.) Mostly used in the gaming industry as a designation for games developed outside of the Triple-A game publishing industry.
