ROI

Return On Investment

The ratio of how much revenue (i.e. 'returning money) was created divided by the amount of money that was invested. In simple terms, an ROI of less than 1 is a loss, and greater than 1 is a profit. Often the main Investment is in terms of effort, so this effort needs to be converted into a financial figure, by applying an hourly rate.
